This was the first piece of furniture I ever designed and built. The assignment was to make a simple medicine cabinet, but I wanted to do a bit more. Using the same basic construction we were learning, I built this small cabinet instead. It features a lockable door and a walnut keyhole detail—added to cover up a hole I accidentally drilled in the wrong spot. A small piece full of first steps, lessons, and a bit of creative problem-solving.
